A specialist in youth and urban culture, Jean-Philippe completed his Master’s field work in Marketing in the streets of New York City’s sneaker culture, earning him numerous awards, honorable mentions and scholarships. He is particularly interested in the experiential, symbolic and ritual aspects of consumption and the dynamics and structures of urban subcultures. He has presented his work on several occasions at both business and academic conferences. In addition, he has honed his expertise as a marketing analyst in the strategic planning unit at Cossette’s Nucleus, working on accounts with McDonald’s, Bombardier, Alcan and Laval University.
