2. CANCÚN
Cancun (Mayan: kaan kun and 'nest of snakes'), is a city with tourism
development certified by the World Tourism Organization internationally.
Located on the northeast coast of Quintana Roo in Eastern Mexico more
than 1,700 km from Mexico City, the Project began operations in 1974
as Integrally Planned Center, a pioneer of FONATUR (National Fund for
Tourism Development), formerly INFRATUR.
In a few years had a remarkable transformation since being a
fishermans island surroundeb by virgin forest and unknown shores now,
along with Acapulco is the most recognized in the world Mexican resort.
3. MACHU PICCHU
Machu Picchu (Quechua Machu pikchu redneck, "Old
Mountain") is the contemporary name given to an ancient
Incan Andean-llaqta-town built in the middle of the fifteenth
century in the rocky promontory that connects the
mountains Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu in the eastern
slope of the Central Cordillera, southern Peru and 2490 m,
altitude of the main square. Its original name was Picchu or
Piche.
4. CHICHÉN ITZÁ
Chichén Itza (Mayan: (Chichén) Mouth of the well; the (Itza)
Warlocks water) is one of the major archaeological sites of
the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, located in the municipality
of Tinum, state Yucatan. Vestige important and famous of
the Mayan civilization, the main buildings there remain
correspond to the period of the decline of the Mayan culture
known to archaeologists as the post-classical period.
