1. An Overview of the Fabulous Fox Theatre

Based in St. Louis, Missouri, the Fabulous Fox Theatre was established in 1929 as a way for St. Louis
residents to gain access to first-class entertainment in their own city. Built for $5 million, the theatre
housed more than 5,500 visitors on its opening night. In 1981, the Fabulous Fox Theatre was revitalized
and renovated by Leon and Mary Strauss. The entire process cost $2 million and took an entire year to
finish. Since its overhaul, the Fabulous Fox Theatre has once again been providing fine year-round
entertainment to St. Louis residents. Patrons can buy subscriptions to the theatre or buy tickets for
single shows.
In addition to housing a beautiful theatre, the Fabulous Fox also offers patrons the chance to dine at The
Grand Buffet, which features all-you-can-eat prime rib and many other entrées and appetizers ideal for
preshow dining.
