About
Focusing on natural language processing, I work in the intersection of several areas of artificial intelligence to enable machine comprehension as an analogous process to human reading. At Expert System, I lead the AI Lab in Madrid (Spain) and believe that the above vision is best served by combining structured knowledge with data-driven machine learning models. A former Marie Curie fellow, I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science and AI based on my work during project Halo, an initiative of Paul Allen. I publish in top scientific conferences and journals and have been interviewed about AI and its applications by magazines like Nature and Scientific American, as well as media like El Pais.
