9. Matthew 5:14-16
14“You are the light of the world. A town built on
a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people
light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead
they put it on its stand, and it gives light to
everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let
your light shine before others, that they may see
your good deeds and glorify your Father in
heaven.
12. Deuteronomy 6:4-9
4Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
5Love the Lord your God with all your heart and
with all your soul and with all your strength. 6These
commandments that I give you today are to be on
your hearts. 7Impress them on your children. Talk
about them when you sit at home and when you
walk along the road, when you lie down and when
you get up. 8Tie them as symbols on your hands and
bind them on your foreheads. 9Write them on the
doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
15. John 3:1-9
1Now there was a Pharisee, a man named
Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling
council. 2He came to Jesus at night and
said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who
has come from God. For no one could perform the
signs you are doing if God were not with him.”
3Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see
the kingdom of God unless they are born again. ”
4“How can someone be born when they are old?”
Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a
second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”
16. John 3:1-9
5Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one
can enter the kingdom of God unless they are
born of water and the Spirit. 6Flesh gives birth to
flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7You
should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must
be born again.’ 8The wind blows wherever it
pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell
where it comes from or where it is going. So it is
with everyone born of the Spirit.” 9“How can this
be?” Nicodemus asked.
17. John 7:50-51
50Nicodemus, who had gone to Jesus earlier and
who was one of their own
number, asked, 51“Does our law condemn a man
without first hearing him to find out what he has
been doing?”
18. John 19:39-40
39He was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man
who earlier had visited Jesus at night.
Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and
aloes, about seventy-five pounds. 40Taking Jesus’
body, the two of them wrapped it, with the
spices, in strips of linen. This was in accordance
with Jewish burial customs.
21. 1 Timothy 4:12
12Don’t let anyone look down on you because
you are young, but set an example for the
believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith
and in purity.
