About This Manual
Read thi s ma nual befo re you start the engine or
operate your Mc Cormick t ractor. If yo u n eed any
more information, see your dealer. Your dealer has
technicians with s pecialized tr aining that know
the best methods of r epair and maintenance for
your tractor.
Refer to the Alphabetical Index at the end of t his
manual for loc ating spec ific i tems about y our
tractor.
The right and left of th e tractor in this manual are
the same as your right and left when sitting in the
tractor seat looking forward.
Some of the illus trations/photographs in t his
manual may look slightly different to that of y our
tractor as they may hav e been produced from
photographs taken on prototype tractors.
DO NOT operate or permit anyone to operate or
service this tractor until you or the other persons
have r ead this manual. Use only t rained
operators who have demonstr ated the abili ty to
operate and s ervice this tr actor cor rectly and
safely.
This tr actor, w ith s tandard equipment and
authorized att achments, is intended to be used
for farming, and related operations. DO NOT use
this tr actor for any applic ation or pur pose othe r
than those descr ibed in this manual. Consult an
authorized dealer or Mc Cormick T ractors
International Li mited on changes , additions or
modifications that can be required for this tractor
to com ply with v arious country r egulations and
safety r equirements. Unauthorized modific ations
may c ause ser ious inj ury or death. A nyone

tractor models available for vastly differing
applications. This is a worldwide Operators
Manual and therefore may include some
information, illustrations and photographs
which may differ to the standard equipment
and accessories on your tractor.

PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION AND SERIAL NUMBERS
Write y our tr actor Model number , Pr oduct
Identification Number ( P.I.N.), and Serial
numbers on the lines pr ovided opposite. If
needed, give these numbers to your dealer when
you need parts or information for your tractor.
Keep the r ecord and your Manufactur ers
Statement of Origin in a safe place. If the tractor
is stolen, report the numbers to your local police.

WARRANTY
Base Warranty Cover
All McCor mick tr actors car ry a minimum 12
months warranty covering both parts and labour
costs arising f rom faulty mater ial or
workmanship. See your authorized dealer for the
warranty per iod per taining to y our market area
and for full terms and conditions.
This war ranty does not r estrict or af fect y our
statutory rights and all that is required of you is to
make sur e that the ins pections, preventative
maintenance and ser vice r equirements, ( set out
in this O perators Manual) , are undertaken and
that the tr actor is made avail able in a timely
manner to your authorized dealer in the event of a
repair becoming necessary under warranty.
Warranty will not apply if the tr actor has been
misused or modi fied, unles s suc h modification
has been car ried out with written approval from
McCormick Tractors International Limited.
Due t o the var iety of equipment used and
operating conditions , this war ranty cannot
include cost of:
Equipment removal,
Productivity loss/consequential damage,
Transportation,
Service i tems ( eg. oi ls, filters and wearing
parts etc.).
Expiry of Warranty
Once the bas e war ranty cover has expired,
McCormick MAY have offered you, at the time of
purchasing the tr actor, the oppor tunity to also
purchase an extended war ranty cover ,
"McCORMICK CARE". Terms and c onditions of
this extended warr anty will apply once the base
warranty cover has expired. See your authorized
dealer for mor e infor mation on "McCORMICK
CARE" terms and conditions.
NOTE: The extended warranty cover option
"McCORMICK CARE" is only available in certain
markets. See your authorized dealer for
confirmation.
Refer to your Service Records Booklet for full terms and conditions on the
Manufacturer’s Standard Warranty and further information with regard to all
necessary service and maintenance requirements expected.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR EEC MEMBER STATES
Type Approval
This tractor complies with the provisions of the following directive:
74/150/EEC - Type Approval
This tr actor i s r oad tr affic la w app roved in all EC countries wi th th is ov erall ty pe a pproval, wi th de signed
speeds up to 40 km/h.
Over and above this speed, national approvals exist for versions measued with a speed of up to 50 km/h.
Declaration of Conformity
This tractor meets the Electromagnetic Compatibility directive 89/336/EEC - and is marked with CE.
As an operator it is important to know the following:
EMC - Supplementary Information
Safety information for the supplementary installation of electrical and electronic appliances and/or
components.
This tractor is equipped wi th electronic constituents and component parts whose function can be influenced by
electromagnetic radiations of other appliances. Suc h influences c an c ause hazards for pers ons if the following
safety information is not taken into account.
1. For s upplementary ins tallation o f ele ctrical an d e lectronic ap pliances an d/or c onstituents on t he t ractor w ith a
connection to the onboard system, the user HAS to verify whether the installation causes disturbances to the
electronics on the tractor or other constituents. This particularly applies to the Hitch, PTO, Transmission Control and
the Instrument Cluster.
Also it has to be t aken into ac count that the s upplementary i nstalled elec trical and elec tronic c omponents
comply with the EMC Directive 89/336/EEC in the respective current version and that they are CE marked.
2. For the s upplementary ins tallation of mobi le communication s ystems (i .e. radio communication, mobi le
telephone) the following additional requirements have to be fulfilled:
A. Only devices with an approval complying with the valid national regulations must be installed.
B. The devices must be firmly installed.
C. The operation of portable or mobile devices within the cab of the tractor is ONLY permitted if the device
has a fixed outside antenna.
D. The transmitting part shall be installed separately to the tractor electronics.
E. Installation of the antenna must be carried out by a professional and the antenna must have a g ood
ground connection between the antenna and the tractor ground.
For the correct size cabling, installation and the maximum permissible current supply, see your dealer.

● The tractor is a source of power - Mechanical and Hydraulic.
● On its own, the tractor is of little practical value. Only when used in conjunction with an
implement or other attachment does it become a working unit.
● This Operators Manual is compiled to cover safe working practices that are associated with
the base tractor operation.
● It does not cover all operation and safety instructions relevant to all known implements and
attachments that may be fitted to your tractor.
● It is essential that operators use and understand the relevant Operators Manual which
accompany such implements and attachments.

brakes, steering, stability, and load characteristics of
this tractor before you start to operate.

Intended Use
This McCormick tractor is designed solely for use in
customary agricultural or s imilar ope ration
(intended use).
Use in any other way is considered as contrary to
the i ntended u se. T he m anufacturer a ccepts n o
liability for any damage or injury resulting from this
misuse and these risks must be bor n solely by the
user.
Compliance wi th a nd s trict ad herence to th e
conditions o f op eration, s ervice a nd r epair as
specified by th e m anufacturer al so c onstitutes
essential elements for the intended use.
This Mc Cormick tr actor s hould be o perated,
serviced and repaired only by persons familiar with
all its particular characteristics and acquainted with
the relevant safety rules (accident prevention).
The accident p revention regulations, a ll o ther
generally r ecognized r egulations on safety and
occupational me dicine and the r oad tr affic
regulations must be observed at all times.
Any arbitrary m odifications carried o ut o n the
tractor will relieve the manufacturer of all liability for
any resulting damage or injury.

General Safety And Accident Prevention Regulations
● In addition to the i nstructions contained in this
Operators M anual, al so obs erve th e ge neral
safety and accident prevention regulations.
● Always c omply wi th local tr affic r egulations
when driving on public roads.
● Before starting work, familiarize yourself with all
the c ontrols and i nstruments a nd their
functions. During work is too late.
● Securely fasten your seat belt, if equipped. Your
tractor is equipped with a ROPS cab or frame
for yo ur protection. T he se at bel t ca n help
insure your safety if it is used and maintained.
Never wear a seat belt loosely or with slack in
the belt system. Never wear the belt in a twisted
condition or p inched between th e s eat
structural members.
● Start the engine only from the operator’s seat.
● Before moving a way, a lways c heck t he
immediate v icinity of the tractor ( e.g. for
children). Ensure adequate visibility.
● Never run the e ngine in a c losed building.
Proper ventilation is required.

● Clothing wor n by the op erator mu st be cl ose-
fitting. A void w earing l oose j ackets, sh irts or
ties.
● Handle fuel with care as it is highly flammable.
Never refuel the tractor in the v icinity of naked
flames or sparks. Do not sm oke during
refuelling.
● Never refuel the mac hine when the eng ine is
hot or running.
● Always s top the engine and r emove the m ain
switch k ey befo re r efuelling. Fill fuel t ank
outdoors. Clean up any spilled fuel immediately.
● Prevent fires by keeping the tractor clean.
● Exposure to high noise levels may c ause
hearing loss. Al ways wear s uitable ear
protection when wor king in a nois y
environment.

  • 10. Introduction 5 1 WARRANTY Base Warranty Cover All McCor mick tr actors car ry a minimum 12 months warranty covering both parts and labour costs arising f rom faulty mater ial or workmanship. See your authorized dealer for the warranty per iod per taining to y our market area and for full terms and conditions. This war ranty does not r estrict or af fect y our statutory rights and all that is required of you is to make sur e that the ins pections, preventative maintenance and ser vice r equirements, ( set out in this O perators Manual) , are undertaken and that the tr actor is made avail able in a timely manner to your authorized dealer in the event of a repair becoming necessary under warranty. Warranty will not apply if the tr actor has been misused or modi fied, unles s suc h modification has been car ried out with written approval from McCormick Tractors International Limited. Due t o the var iety of equipment used and operating conditions , this war ranty cannot include cost of: Equipment removal, Productivity loss/consequential damage, Transportation, Service i tems ( eg. oi ls, filters and wearing parts etc.). Expiry of Warranty Once the bas e war ranty cover has expired, McCormick MAY have offered you, at the time of purchasing the tr actor, the oppor tunity to also purchase an extended war ranty cover , "McCORMICK CARE". Terms and c onditions of this extended warr anty will apply once the base warranty cover has expired. See your authorized dealer for mor e infor mation on "McCORMICK CARE" terms and conditions. NOTE: The extended warranty cover option "McCORMICK CARE" is only available in certain markets. See your authorized dealer for confirmation. Introduction 6 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR EEC MEMBER STATES Type Approval This tractor complies with the provisions of the following directive: 74/150/EEC - Type Approval This tr actor i s r oad tr affic la w app roved in all EC countries wi th th is ov erall ty pe a pproval, wi th de signed speeds up to 40 km/h. Over and above this speed, national approvals exist for versions measued with a speed of up to 50 km/h. Declaration of Conformity This tractor meets the Electromagnetic Compatibility directive 89/336/EEC - and is marked with CE. As an operator it is important to know the following: EMC - Supplementary Information Safety information for the supplementary installation of electrical and electronic appliances and/or components. This tractor is equipped wi th electronic constituents and component parts whose function can be influenced by electromagnetic radiations of other appliances. Suc h influences c an c ause hazards for pers ons if the following safety information is not taken into account. 1. For s upplementary ins tallation o f ele ctrical an d e lectronic ap pliances an d/or c onstituents on t he t ractor w ith a connection to the onboard system, the user HAS to verify whether the installation causes disturbances to the electronics on the tractor or other constituents. This particularly applies to the Hitch, PTO, Transmission Control and the Instrument Cluster. Also it has to be t aken into ac count that the s upplementary i nstalled elec trical and elec tronic c omponents comply with the EMC Directive 89/336/EEC in the respective current version and that they are CE marked. 2. For the s upplementary ins tallation of mobi le communication s ystems (i .e. radio communication, mobi le telephone) the following additional requirements have to be fulfilled: A. Only devices with an approval complying with the valid national regulations must be installed. B. The devices must be firmly installed. C. The operation of portable or mobile devices within the cab of the tractor is ONLY permitted if the device has a fixed outside antenna. D. The transmitting part shall be installed separately to the tractor electronics. E. Installation of the antenna must be carried out by a professional and the antenna must have a g ood ground connection between the antenna and the tractor ground. Safety Precautions 10 General Safety And Accident Prevention Regulations ● In addition to the i nstructions contained in this Operators M anual, al so obs erve th e ge neral safety and accident prevention regulations. ● Always c omply wi th local tr affic r egulations when driving on public roads. ● Before starting work, familiarize yourself with all the c ontrols and i nstruments a nd their functions. During work is too late. ● Securely fasten your seat belt, if equipped. Your tractor is equipped with a ROPS cab or frame for yo ur protection. T he se at bel t ca n help insure your safety if it is used and maintained. Never wear a seat belt loosely or with slack in the belt system. Never wear the belt in a twisted condition or p inched between th e s eat structural members. ● Start the engine only from the operator’s seat. ● Before moving a way, a lways c heck t he immediate v icinity of the tractor ( e.g. for children). Fill fuel t ank outdoors. Clean up any spilled fuel immediately. ● Prevent fires by keeping the tractor clean. ● Exposure to high noise levels may c ause hearing loss.
