Containerised Winch System
1. Containerised Winch System
Lifting operations in nuclear power plants have their own special requirements. More often
than not the available polar crane has not enough capacity to be used for major overhauling
operations. A verstile, compact and powerful lifting device
which could operate in a wide variety of locations and
configurations was what an international heavy lifting company
required.
The modular containerised winch system built up around a
20ft central unit with a modular leg system and hydraulic
powerded bogies was what they got.
Capable of lifting up to 650 tons over 50 meter, driving over
rails 4.8 to 8.4 meters apart and with legs that can elevate the
winch unit up to 6.5 meter above the rails.
Designed in The Netherlands under supervision of Lloyd’s
Register, fabricated in The Netherlands and Eastern Europe,
commissioned and tested in The Netherlands.
Winch characteristics:
Maximum line pull 25 metric ton at 6th layer
Wire speed 0-14 m/min
Spooling capacity 700 m
Drums construction HS steel w. Lebus grooves
