Frequent errors in relation to detention and rejection of merchandise at entry. Most common errors at entry are the following: Incomplete description of merchandise – unable to determine classification Invoice missing classification Invoice Quantities and weights not in accordance with packing list
Frequent errors in relation to detention and rejection of merchandise at entry Misclassification - invoiced merchandise is improperly classified Merchandise description does not correspond with invoice, license or certificate required at entry. A variety of goods are classified under the same classification
Frequent errors in relation to detention and rejection of merchandise at entry Undeclared merchandise that might require special documentation at entry – certificates or license. The importer of records does not have authorization to import registered trademarks. The shipment is detained until the issue is solved. The marking label is not in compliance with the textile act
