- Each of us has a specific purpose we were created to fulfill We were built to solve a problem We were created to serve -Noah was born to build the arc -Moses born to live as prince in the palace he would one day have to come against -Boaz to be a kinsmen redeemer -David to be a King -Mary to birth a Savior -Jesus born to save us What is your purpose? -What problem were you built to solve? -Who were you created to serve? -What thing can execute in a unique way that no one else can do? Each of us has unique gifts that will lend themselves to our purpose God’s job is to give the gifts, our job is to trust him to help us uncover the gifts and then partner with him to use the gifts 1 Corinthians 3:9 9 For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building 2. What are you naturally good at 1 Peter 4:10 10 As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Romans 12:6 6 Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, [a]according to the proportion of his faith; Q: How do we discover our gifts and unique abilities? Ephesians 3:20 0-21 God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. Why are you here? What is the one thing that you would do all the time for free? Our dreams are nothing more than an outward manifestation of what God already placed on the inside of us before we were born Those dreams connect us to our purpose When we dream we are creating our vision Dreaming is a very important step in moving into destiny because it is how we unlock the gifts God has graced us with So Now What?

We have determined: How to discover these gifts using both practical and spiritual methods AND We have articulated: What it means to dream and why it is important to do so when crafting a vision and moving toward purpose So. What’s NEXT? We STOP DREAMING LONG ENOUGH TO DECIDE. When we decide, we do. If we are not doing we have not decided and that is a decision in itself! Many times we are hung up in dream mode, and so we live there with all the other dreamers. We have grand conversations that begin with: One Day Maybe When I get the right_____, I will and so we remain hindered It is time to DECIDE! Making a decision to do SOMETHING-puts meat on the bones of your dream [INSERT SHORT STORY ABOUT ME RETURNING TO SCHOOL, GOD’s voice you make one step, I’ll make two] DECIDE: What Dream/Vision will you create What matters to you, what’s important & what isn’t How much time each day you will you give to your dream/vision What is your end game Write it OUT! Habbakuk 2:2 2 And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. “When we decide, we do. If we are not doing, we have not decided and indecision is the worst decision of all..” Make Time For It ( Your Vision) -Time is currency and like money-we have to tell it where to go, or it tells us where to go -This is how we end up burned out, overworked, exhausted, mean, evil with nothing left to give to ANYONE including God, HIS PLAN and ourselves -Allocate your time! Guard Against Distractions Am I saying you can never take a break or have fun? NO! ofcourse not. If YOU WORK HARD, YOU CAN PLAY HARD! Just don’t be like these guys. Watch! Click Video Link I am talking about: You’ve put in a full day of work, you’ve run the kids around everywhere and done everything that you needed to do-however you have not touched your vision, your it AT ALL, and you justify-I’m going out! My week has been long. That chapter in that book, that new recipe for my catering biz, that clients resume will be there. Yes. Yes they will and so will someone else to write the chapter, bake the cake or tailor your clients resume!

- If you are like most of us you must work your job while you are building a viable business Just because you have: Dreamt Decided and now you are doing, does not mean you can walk into work like this: Play first video clip The Struggle is REAL for entrepreneurs, OK! It is real. You still have to: Live Eat Sleep Get Around Have Health Insurance etc… so in all of your getting get an understanding and use wisdom God will allow you to stay employed, build a business and then gracefully transition Work diligently, Wait on his timing before making an exit or the joke could be on you like this: Play Second Video Work Your Job, Don’t Allow Your Job to Work You What do I mean by this? Romans 8:28The Message (MSG) 26-28 Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good. God wastes nothing! WRITE THAT DOWN! God waste nothing, so everything, every tool every benefit, every relationship that is at your feet while you are working at a job-He will use to train, grow and develop you for success in your own company. So until then: Be Present Be A Sponge Get all you can, while you can Stay employed until you can afford to fire yourself Oh yeah, hey how you doing? I though you started your own business. I did. But you’re still working. Welp, I can’t afford to fire myself yet-so until that day comes this 9-5 ( or whatever is my additional income stream, that enables me to take care of my family and fund my business Enter with the Exit in Mind When we fail to enter a job with the exit in mind we look up 10 years later and we are stuck The money is ok or good The work life balance is great The benefits are good Change is hard We like our coworkers-whatever the reasons we stay too long or just flat out never leave and our dreams die and we die with them long before we are buried Mama Comfort is a monster you hear me, and she will lie to you using all the excuses/reasons we just went through leaving you with no tangible growth or results. Funny Story [I had to live with my mom for a bit in my early- mid 20’s] I had to go back home. My entire time there my Mama said to me “I love you, you are my heart”- I want you to know you are welcome here, but I don’t want you to be comfortable here. Mind you, I left her house at 17 because I was headstrong, thought I knew it all and that she had an S on her chest except instead of Super Mom it stood for Satan Incarnate- You know how we young adults can be… So in my mind there was no way I could be/get comfortable anyway. I failed. I was back at home and life was a hotmess.com, how is that comfortable ? Anyhoo it came time for me to go. The day I moved. I moved myself entirely. I didn’t move far and only had clothes and what not.. But I kept wondering why my mom wasn’t helping me. That’s my ACE, my RIDE or DIE-she always helps right? WRONG! Not this time. Allowed me to move myself entirely. Later she would go on to tell me “Isha, you were regressing.” “I saw my baby regressing and fearful, afraid to leave the nest.” “So because you’re an eagle, I pushed you out!” I knew you would soar! THAT, LADIES & GENTLEMEN IS LOVE! When I entered she had my exit in mind. And that is where Mentorship and accountability will come in. They will believe when you can’t. They will push when you can’t! They will keep you on track like ok-we said two years we are 6 months in -how is your savings looking -What debt have you paid down -Are you writing,singing,dancing,cooking,baking,planning ( whatever your it is daily)? -Are you Networking? How often? Are you following up? Resume & LinkedIn So because we are going to be savvy and wise and enter with the exit in mind we need strong resumes and linkedin profiles to attract the employers we want/need to see us Honestly we need these even if we are already walking in our entrepreneurial calling We need to be able to effectively and powerfully tell our story in a way that makes folks want to know more about hiring us and/or doing business with us
- So Now that we have: Dreamt Decided Done- this process will hopefully have you morphing things into your vision/purpose and your personal brand Now we have to put ourselves out there to push that brand Putting ourselves out there can be completely uncomfortable for some-especially women at times Because we are detailed, multi-taskers who find it hard to talk about ourselves and prefer to be behind the scenes We cannot do that any longer We have to Network, Network, Network-if you take nothing away from this workshop that helps you advance your business take this: If you do not network, you will have no net worth! Write that DOWN! If you do not network, you will have no net worth! Most people in today’s market buy any/everything-food, clothing, cars, houses, talent ( you and me, candidates) via referrals through relationships We cannot afford to bypass networking both social media and face to face with others I have a lot of interesting social media stats-but I have a video that shows you better than I can tell you-watch this: Play Social Media Video Link
