CHEPSAA, a collaboration between educators and researchers from various countries, is dedicated to supporting the teaching of health policy and systems research (HPSR) by discussing principles of curriculum development, highlighting good teaching practice and sharing teaching resources. Before introducing this focus on teaching support, CHEPSAA was a much broader HPSR capacity development project with 7 African and 4 European universities as partners. This initial phase of work was implemented from 2011-2015, with funding from the European Union.
