health, but also for your vestibular system.
We see a wide range of patients from newborns
to adults. Included in your hearing health is a
basic audiometric test which determines the
degree and type of hearing loss an individual may have.
Hearing Audiology And Hearing Tests
Tympanometry tests the function of your middle ear.
Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) looks at the function of the cochlea
– the organ of hearing. An auditory brainstem response (ABR)
test looks at the 8th cranial nerve to the lower auditory function.
There are a wide variety of tests we perform in our office to
determine the function of your vestibular system.
A videonystagmography (VNG) test provides information about
the vestibular and central nervous systems.

2. A vestibular autorotation test (VAT) evaluates your vestibular
ocular reflex – how well your vestibular and visual systems work
together during fast movements.
An electrocochleography (EcoG) is a test we use to determine
the hydro-mechanical function that takes place within the
cochlea.
The results of hearing audiology tests allow the audiologist and
the doctor to determine the diagnosis and appropriate treatment
plan for each individual.
