Officially the Republic of Kenya, is
a country in East Africa
The country is named after Mount
Kenya, a significant landmark and
second among Africa's highest
mountain peaks.

Kenya is the world's forty-seventh
largest country
Its capital and largest city
is Nairobi.

It has many famous sight seeing
places like Lake Victoria, the
world's second largest fresh-water
lake as well as the source of the
great river Nile,the Great Rift
Valley, Mount Kilimanjaro can be
seen from Kenya to the South of the
Tanzanian border too.
Kenya's climate varies
from tropical along the coast to
temperate inland to arid in the north
and northeast parts of the country.

2. • Kenya is a diverse country that has 42
tribes and, although tribalism is a
major problem in Kenya.
The Maasai culture is well known
despite being a minor percentage of
the Kenyan population. They are
renowned for their elaborate upper
body adornment and jewellery.
The Kanga is a piece of clothing
screen printed with beautiful sayings
in Swahili (or English) and is largely
worn by women around the waist and
torso.
There is no singular dish that
represents all of Kenya. Different
communities have their own native
foods.
Staples aremaize and other cereals
depending on the region
including millet and sorghum eaten with
various meats and vegetables. The
foods that are universally eaten in
Kenya are ugali, sukuma wiki, and nyama
choma.

3. • The tourist industry in Kenya is
the 2nd largest source of
foreign exchange revenue
following agriculture
Kenya National Parks are
controlled by Kenya Wildlife
Services, who look after and
protect the areas. The wages of
workers in the National Parks are
usually funded by entrance fees
charged for safaris and tours.
Unlike Animal Reserves, National
Parks allow strictly no human
habitation.
Kenyan coast is the perfect place
for a beach holiday and some of
the finest deep-sea fishing in
the world.
It has many pre hisotoric sites.
