• 보어 절의 주체가 제어(control) 된다면 그 관계는 xcomp
= 주절의 주어나 목적어와 동일해야하고 다른 해석이 없어야 함
• 3번 : 채굴을 시작한 주체가 사장일수도 있고 아닐수도 있다. Said(동사) -> start (core) : ccomp
• 4번 : 채굴을 시작한 주체는 we 가 분명하다. Started (동사) -> digging (보어) : xcomp
