1. PTA Start the Art Week
October 6–10, 2008
Hey, students,
help save
the
arts!
Can you imagine what it would be like not to have music, dance, theater,
or art classes in your school?
Some students don’t have the chance to create artwork, write poetry, or
play music at school. But you can help!
Tell the president of the United States how much the arts mean to you.
Ask our president to please save the arts in schools.
It’s as simple as 1-2-3.
Note to PTAs:
1. On an 81/2" x 11" sheet of paper, write, “Dear Mr.
Collect students’ letters and send President, Please save the arts!” Include your first name
them in one envelope to
(don’t give your last name), your school’s name, and your
PTA Office of Programs
and Public Policy grade level.
