VIDEO AUDIO
NARRATION LYRICS / MUSIC / FX
0:00 – 0:30 –
Moving Establishing Shot - of
Manchester skyline on the tram to
suggest the location and origin of
the original band. The establishing
shot indicates the setting and that
all shots used would be centered on
Manchester, including iconography.
Barn doors effect used to open up
the establishing shot which is
moving to enhance the setting and
allow a smoother and more
professional transition from
nothing to having a moving
establishing shot.
Medium Close Up - of female
character looking towards the
camera, blank and vacant
expression, which disorientates the
audience and indicating the
fragmented narrative, by having the
appearance of the female character.
The audience then begin to somewhat
understand the narrative by having
the shot of the girl; they
understand it’s a narrative around
her and her experiences. The vacant
expression doesn’t allow an insight
to the narrative yet, like a
neutral position as in the video
you observe the female character
both laughing and crying later on
as the narrative is revealed.
Moving establishing shot continued
– returning the audience back to
the setting and location of the
video. Somewhat panning shot to
show the variety of the settings we
would then use in the overall
narrative.
Extreme close up - of an
unidentified hand grabbing female
characters arm. This suggesting the
narrative which is revealed later
on, foreshadowing the events of the
narrative and the ways in which the
narrative unfolds to demonstrate
the domestic violence the female
character experiences.
Close up & Extreme close up - of
female character crying, showing
the in depth pain of the character
