I'm somewhat of a rare breed who has experienced the full software life cycle with a degree in Computer Science, afterward spending years in both IT application support, IT Project Mgmt, and as the vendor making the purchasing decision (IT Architect). I then went into software services delivery and Enterprise software sales as a Sales Engineer traveling full-time to Fortune 500 Enterprise accounts and took a break in travel with a post-sales maintenance renewals manager role after that.
