Steps to properly do Superman Lower Back
Exercise
Ready, Set:
•Lie facedown on the floor with your arms stretched out above your head, your legs extended, and all four limbs angled
out slightly.

•Your palms should face the floor.
GO:
•lift your arms and legs off the floor as if you were Superman Flying.
•Hold for 3 seconds.
•Then slowly lower your arms and legs back to the starting position.
•As they lightly touch the floor, repeat.

Performance Tips
•Your head and neck will also rise off the floor on this exercise, but do not allow your neck to hyperextend backward.
Keep it in line with your shoulders throughout the exercise. However much your shoulders rise, that is how high your
neck should lift.
•As in the opposite arm and leg raise you performed at Level One, you will feel a contraction in your gluteals and
hamstrings as well as your lower back muscles.
•If you can hold each contraction for longer than 3 seconds, do so. The more endurance you build in your lower back,
the more improvement you will feel in your posture.
