OVERVIEW IDEATIONPROCESS PROTOTYPING/EXPERIMENTS FINALDESIGN CONCLUSION
REASONSFORCHOOSING:
1)Achieves the dualpurpose of alleviating
congestionduringalightingandincreasingcomfort
levels.
2)Allayspassengers’fearofbeingunabletoalight.
3)Morecostefficient.
4)4)Requireslesschangestoexistinginfrastructure.
METHODS
1)Indicationfromalightingpassengers
Motivations:
UponUponconductingasurvey,wefoundoutthatmanyofourrespondentswere
shytoaskotherstomoveintoemptyspaceswithinthetrain/tomakewayfor
themtomoveintotheseemptyspaces.Withouridea(aboutflow),weintend
toshufflepassengersandgatheralightingpassengersatthedoor.This
requiresinteractionsbetweenstrangers,whichpassengersmaybeunwilling
toengagein.Hence,weneededasystemwhichhelpsreducesuchawkward
interactionsbetweenstrangers.
MMethodsforIndication:

2)Sensor(detectviawaving)

2)PathwayGeneration
Motivations:
BasedBasedontheresultsofoursurvey,werealisedthatthemainfactorwhich
deterredpassengersfrom movingawayfrom theexitswasthedifficultyin
