the end of the year.

8.  The year 1824 was also a short year for me but
a good one.
 I had $2,000 to spend!
 My remaining investment money was $789.60.

9.  My total cost for crops was 500 dollars.
 Then my bank balance was 3,789.60 dollars.
 My town was Gonzales and I had 2,000 dollars
to spend.
