2. What is the Health Brigade?
I
The Health Brigade is a day organised by the Charity Committee of the Colegio
Gran Bretaña in which children from Cazucá, a deprived area in the south of the
city, and children from our maintenance staff are invited to CGB for general
medical check ups, which include visual exams, dental revision, and conferences
on healthy habits, and sexual education, among others.
For many of the impoverished children of Cazucá, this single day provides the only
access to health services these young people may receive all year.
3. What is the Health Brigade?
I
Every year, CGB invites a range of health care professionals to volunteer some of their time to provide
invaluable check ups, medications and screenings to some of our city’s most vulnerable population.
Each child receives a kit of health care products at the end of the day, and any medicine that could be
required.
Snacks and lunches are provided to the children and to all the volunteers.
