Window tints of the car get decayed after some years, due to environmental factors and therefore have to be removed on time. The ultimate damage to window tints of the car occurs when the color of the tint is changed into purple. Change or rather photo oxidation in the hues of window tints from light black or Zed black into purple is caused due to non-metallic dyes. The appearance of bubbles on the tint also shows that the time of its removal has come. When the first bubble appears on the window tint, you should understand that its adhesive is beginning to loosen its grip from the window surface. It is the time that you should seriously start thinking of replacing the window tint.

therefore have to be removed on time. The ultimate damage to window tints of the car occurs
when the color of the tint is changed into purple. Change or rather photo oxidation in the hues
of window tints from light black or Zed black into purple is caused due to non-metallic dyes. The
appearance of bubbles on the tint also shows that the time of its removal has come. When the
first bubble appears on the window tint, you should understand that its adhesive is beginning
to loosen its grip from the window surface. It is the time that you should seriously start
thinking of replacing the window tint.
However, the real problem begins to crop when the window tints have to be removed. The fact
is that due to high surface tension and pressure in the molecules, it becomes too difficult to
remove window tints just in one time. If you try to peel the tint off from the window directly, it
will leave some sticky adhesive that will give a messy look to your car. Following are some of
the methods through which you can easily remove car window tints:
Steamer Method
It is the easiest method to remove the tints from the car windows safely. To remove the tint
using this method, you need a fabric streamer. Easy to use, you can apply the method by simply
following some steps like its filling, turning it on and steaming the window of the car. Due to the
steam, the adhesive melts ultimately causing the removal of tints from the windows without
leaving any mark. After the tints are removed, just clean and wipe the window from good
quality remover. This will make the window surface smooth and shining.
Soap and Newspaper Method
In this method, you need soapy detergent water that you have to spray on the window of the
car with a sponge. After spraying it, cover the window with newspapers and leave it for an
hour. You have to apply the soapy water again and again after every 20 minutes. Using a razor
blade, now peel the upper layer of the tint off. In case, the upper layer does not peel off, use
the soapy water again for half an hour. After that, simply peel the tint off with razor.
Sun and Ammonia Method
You can use this method only on bright moisture free sunny days. You need two black bags in
the shape of the window. First, spray some soap water on the window and then cover with a
black bag. While using this method, always cover the areas inside the car and wear masks. If the
ammonia is still wet, use another black bag to cover it. Leave it for some time under the sun
that makes the black bags to absorb the heat. This will remove the tint in one go without
2. affecting the window. Only use blade or fingernail to remove the tint and that to from a corner.
Always remember that the tint remains moist with ammonia, when you peel it off. After
removing the tint, use a paper towel to clean the window and then wipe it with a glass cleaner.
