newbuildingstandards.BuildersinOceanandMonmouthcountieshavesaidthecostforelevatingmanyhomescanrange
from$25,000to$75,000buttherearemanyvariablesthataffectcost.
Therequiredheightofelevation,thetypeofpre-existingfoundatingandwhetherapilingorblockfoundationisrequiredcan
allaffectcost.InNewOrleans,costsforelevatingexistinghomesafterHurricaneKatrinawerereportedbetween$40,000
and$60,000.
