         Ratio: a comparison of two quantities by division.




         Rate: A ratio that compares two quantities measured in
         different units.

                Example: A person drove 75 miles in 3 hours.




         Unit Rate: A rate where the second quantity is one unit.

             Example: A person drove at a rate of 25 miles per 1 hour.
