MARKET UPDATES & STOCK RECOMMENDATION
 Jurong Aromatics Corporation (JAC) could start trial
 runs at its US$2.4 billion petrochemical complex in
Singapore by April, The project includes 100,000
barrels per day (bpd) condensate splitter and an
aromatics complex and it will be mechanically
complete in February.

Units of OUE Commercial Real Estate Investment
Trust, controlled by property and hotel group OUE,
traded just below their IPO price of S$0.80 per unit
after the IPO raised S$346 mn (US$270 mn) The Reit
traded at S$0.785, with more than 8.8 million units
changing hands in the first few minutes of trading

JARDINE CYCLE
ASL Marine on Monday said it has signed a
conditional sale and purchase agreement with Miclyn
Express Offshore to acquire the latter's Batam
shipyard for US$20 million (S$25.6 million).The
shipyard operates on the land adjacent to the ASL
Marine's existing shipyard in Batam.


THE Housing & Development Board (HDB) has spent
about S$1 billion upgrading the electrical
infrastructure in some 2,400 old HDB blocks, and is
poised to upgrade 4,000 more in due course.
