Dear Seminarian James Smith,
Thank you for choosing the vocation of becoming a priest. Being a priest is a
wonderful and special calling that you have chosen. By being a priest you are following Jesus
and that’s what he wants us as Catholics to do. You are being a great Catholic. By being a priest
it helps keep the Catholic faith stronger and alive in the diocese of the faith. People also look
up to you as a role model and that’s something special.
By becoming a priest there are many obstacles and hardships along the way, but I
will pray for your strength and guidance to continue your journey. Today, parishes do not
have enough priests, so I am so honored to be writing to the next generation of priests. After
this journey, you will be accomplished and ready to take on the task of being a priest. I hope
you enjoy being a priest and following God. Good luck and keep studying!
