Our program is glad to invite you to the First Institutional Conference
on ICT and Language Learning. This is an opportunity for you to
practice English, meet other students and share your experiences
related to EFL teaching and learning.
Program
8 am – 9:30 am ICT and autonomous learning: coincidences and contradictions.
Ricardo Romero – Oxford University Press
This presentation will revisit the basic concepts behind autonomous learning
and will review some of the solutions ICT has proposed supposedly to
promote such approach to learning. Some critical points will be raised
concerning the role of online tools and the real effect in creating a culture of
self-learning in our context.
9:30 am – 10 am Break
10 am – 12 pm Interactive Speaking practice through the use of ICT: strategies to
workshops gain fluency and accuracy.
