I am a Linux system and applications programmer, system administrator at Biosfarm, in Iasi, Romania. I am a supporter of UNIX operating systems, working mainly with Linux and FreeBSD. I strongly believe in open source phenomena. I have contributed over the years to the Linux kernel and to several open source projects. I wrote six books and several papers about the Linux and FreeBSD operating systems. I teach the Linux systems administration course at The Faculty of Computer Science, "Al.I.Cuza" University of Iasi, Romania.
