LoraxPRO is a repository for all data and documents required to submit to the USGBC for LEED certification. A typical project uses multiple third-party software applications such as Microstation, BIM, StormCAD, WaterCAD, Bentley OnSite, and other building industry software applications.LoraxPRO is designed to accept data from multiple sources, distill and document this data, and store it as a component of the project’s overall submission requirements.

LoraxPRO is a project-based Software As A Service [SAAS] where one license fee pays for all project team members.A typical new construction project has 10-12 project team members. The total project time from the schematic design phase through construction to final LEED certification is in excess of 24 months. At $3,000/project, a typical project results in approximately $10 / month / user for LoraxPRO.
LoraxPRO increases a project team’s efficiency, enhances productivity, automates a number of LEED credits, and serves as a document management tool for the LEED submission. Over time, users can cross-reference their multiple projects within the LoraxPRO system and leverage the experience gained from past projects for their current projects.LoraxPRO reduces a project team’s risk of devoting significant time to credit re-work due to inconsistent data or missing documents. In addition, the system logs every action which enhances team accountability and creates a full system of record and project history which is powerful in a dispute resolution situation.Ultimately, LoraxPRO drives down the time costs associated with the LEED process, freeing up highly paid professionals from the paperwork and other administrative tasks associated with LEED certification.
Project teams typically go into LEED projects with many questions regardless of their experience level. When should we start this credit? Where are the resources we need? Which industry standards apply to this credit? Does this activity impact more than one LEED credit?LoraxPRO serves as a guide to the LEED process, manages many complex aspects of LEED, and helps less experienced project members quickly get up to speed.

Large A&E firms, portfolio owners, and major real estate service providers realize significant benefits with a LoraxPRO Premier enterprise license.LoraxPRO can be customized to reflect a company’s brand in the upper left of all pages [replacing the current LoraxPRO icon] and on the various reports providing consistent brand images to the client.Enterprise customers can gain significant benefits including the opportunity for senior management to develop a customized global overview of key project metrics as well as drill down into the details of any specific project within their portfolio. [NOTE: aggregated management reporting is under development and/or requires a customer specific development effort until full release of the LoraxPRO Management Module] Developing process consistency via a technology platform increases efficiency, captures knowledge, and provides project continuity in the event of staff turnover or other changes with external project team staffing.
Over time, enterprise customers will be able to build a materials database that saves valuable data entry time. As this data grows, senior management can run reports on specific credits achieved, costs, and other data embedded within LoraxPRO. A future LoraxPRO feature is to develop reports that allow a firm to benchmark itself against the entire universe of LoraxPRO users.Enterprise customers can upload company-specific resources to LoraxPRO [documents, policies, white papers, etc.] that are only available to project team members of that firm.Should a project seek re-certification under LEED EB:OM or have a tenant build-out pursue LEED CI and use the corresponding LoraxPRO module, the data already entered into LoraxPRO can populate the new project within the corresponding certification module.
