Fundamental Community Service Organizations: (4) day / 8 hour per day emergency mode
power for pharmacies, quick service restaurants, convenience stores, gas stations, retail
food, table/full service restaurants, automotive, commercial habitation, etc. Operate
refrigeration + ATMs per regular business practice + hours. Gas Stations: (12) hour
operation period each day w/backup power or built-in hand pumps for fuel distribution.
General Retail + Community Service - Provide power to operate in emergency mode for at
least (16) hours of emergency mode operation + provide needed equipment for refueling OR
provide external electrical hookups for temporary emergency generators

#8. Prevent Sewage Backflow (New structures)
Where possible provide cogeneration and solar power systems as part of the backup
system because they are always in use and can be more reliable than generators.
Provide power for the following Priorities and more if possible (Hospitals and Emergency
