1. Judicial Laws- That stipulate penalty for
violation. Human government as judge.
2. Moral/Humane Laws - These may not
mention a penalty. Related to showing
mercy to foreigners, slaves, enemies,
animals, birds. However, all commands
carry blessing for obedience and curse for
disobedience. God is Moral Judge.
3. Ceremonial Laws - Related to personal
and national purity, cleansing, holiness,
worship, offerings, and celebration.
Atonement for sins.

3. Examples of Judicial/Civil Laws (for Israel as a nation)
Exo.21:12 “Anyone who strikes a person with a fatal blow is to be put to death.
打 人 以 致 打 死 的 ， 必 要 把 他 治 死 。
Exo. 21:20 “Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if
the slave dies as a direct result,”
人 若 用 棍 子 打 奴 僕 或 婢 女 ， 立 時 死 在 他 的 手 下 ， 他 必 要 受 刑 。
Exo. 21:33-34 “If anyone uncovers a pit or digs one and fails to cover it and an ox or a donkey
falls into it, the one who opened the pit must pay the owner for the loss and take
the dead animal in exchange.
33 人 若 敞 著 井 口 ， 或 挖 井 不 遮 蓋 ， 有 牛 或 驢 掉 在 裡 頭 ，34 井 主 要 拿 錢 賠
還 本 主 人 ， 死 牲 畜 要 歸 自 己 。

4. Examples of Moral Laws
Exo.22:21 “Do not mistreat or oppress a foreigner, for you were foreigners in Egypt.
不 可 虧 負 寄 居 的 ， 也 不 可 欺 壓 他 ， 因 為 你 們 在 埃 及 地 也 作 過 寄 居 的 。
Deut 24:19 When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go
back to get it. Leave it for the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow, so that
the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
你 在 田 間 收 割 莊 稼 ， 若 忘 下 一 捆 ， 不 可 回 去 再 取 ， 要 留 給 寄 居 的 與
孤 兒 寡 婦 。 這 樣 ， 耶 和 華 ─ 你 神 必 在 你 手 裡 所 辦 的 一 切 事 上 賜 福
與 你 。
Deut 25:4 Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.
牛 在 場 上 踹 穀 的 時 候 ， 不 可 籠 住 他 的 嘴
Deut 22:6 If you come across a bird’s nest beside the road, either in a tree or on the ground,
and the mother is sitting on the young or on the eggs, do not take the
mother with the young.
你 若 路 上 遇 見 鳥 窩 ， 或 在 樹 上 或 在 地 上 ， 裡 頭 有 雛 或 有 蛋 ， 母 鳥 伏
在 雛 上 或 在 蛋 上 ， 你 不 可 連 母 帶 雛 一 併 取 去 。

5. Examples of Ceremonial Laws
Related to sacrifices, circumcision, purification rituals, food laws, atonement,
priestly duties and order, etc. ALL Fulfilled in Christ.
Romans 10:4, 12-13
Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone
who believes.
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and
richly blesses all who call on him,for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will
be saved.”
律 法 的 總 結 就 是 基 督 ， 使 凡 信 他 的 都 得 著 義 。
猶 太 人 和 希 利 尼 人 並 沒 有 分 別 ， 因 為 眾 人 同 有 一 位 主 ； 他 也 厚 待 一 切
求 告 他 的 人 。因 為 凡 求 告 主 名 的 ， 就 必 得 救 。
