Zoisite Ruby: Its name is of a family of calcium aluminum silicate minerals. Zoisite is found in many countries, including Tanzania, Australia, South Africa & India. Green Zoisite with Ruby is found in India. Zoisite is named after the Slovene scientist Baron Sigmund Zois von Edelstein. It was brought to Zois by the mineral dealer Simon Prešern, , who had discovered it in the Saualpe mountains of Carinthia in 1805
