with the families and other stakeholders to achieve a
better outcome for these therapeutic interventions.
+ The administration of these therapeutic supports are
done through the Allied Health team. These are
responsible for supporting Participants with evidences,
assessments and reports to access and planning
decisions made by NDIA delegates (planners) under the
NDIS Therapyst Act.
3. + Allied health providers provide evidence, assessments
and reports that inform access and planning decisions

+ Allied health providers may:
refer people to information about who can access the
NDIS
provide supporting evidence as part of an access request,
including evidence that the person has or is likely to have
a permanent disability.
provide copies of reports or assessments that describe
the extent of the functional impact of the disability.
4. + In Western Australia there is a growing demand of these services range from Speech, Occupational
Therapy /OT Services, Behaviour support. Being of a large size, the state has challenges of providing
these supports regional areas. Providers now also use technology and visual aid to cater to clients in
remote communities. Also based on the disability these therapies will have a different execution in
terms of reaching out to the participant.

Self-Referral
GP referral
Referral from Support worker or
Family referral.
