She possesses an array of professional skills, which
include sales and marketing; personal resource
management; economics and accounting; deductive
reasoning; and many others.
Being a leader and a team player, she always
strives to acquire more knowledge and skills.
She attended Western Hills High school(WHHS),
Frankfort, Kentucky.

The school, which was established in 1981 offers
Enrichment, Academic, and Commonwealth
Diplomas. DaShannon graduated from the school in
1988 with Business major.
Then, she went to College of Business, Kentucky
State University for a year to study Psychology.

She joined the US Army as a staff Sergeant,
Administrative Specialist, and a Clerk. She served the army
from 1988 to 2000.
During this period, she handled all the clerical and
administrative duties with great responsibility.
She operated office equipment and used computers for
word processing, spreadsheet, database management, and
other applications.
She answered telephones, took messages, and transferred
the calls. She greeted visitors or callers and handled their
inquiries.

She even directed the visitors to the appropriate persons.
Along with maintaining paper and electronic records, she
read and replied to the mails and answered routine letters.
She received several army achievement medals and a
driver badge. She is a desert storm veteran and an expert
shooter.
During her army career, she was stationed in Karlsruhe
Germany, Ft Jackson SC, Ft Gordon GA and Ft Knox KY.
While serving the forces, she achieved the Administrative
Specialist 72G Certificate and Automatic Data
Telecommunications Center Operator Certificate.

After leaving the Army, DaShannon Jones opened
a restaurant known as Forks of Elkhorn and
managed it well for almost three years.
Afterwards, she got training in Zumba, a fitness
program from AFAA. Since 2008, she has been
working as an independent personal fitness trainer.
She has certifications in Zumba, Zumbatomic,
Sentao Zumba 2.
She helps children and adults train in Zumba and
remain physically fit.

Being a fitness trainer, she plans the exercise
routine of the participants, chooses the right music,
and selects different movements or steps according
to the capability and limitations of the participants.
She is a cancer survivor and therefore, actively
participates in various projects that aim to raise
funds for cancer awareness and eradication.
She supports Relay for Life and is actively
involved with Soup Kitchen & Men's Shelter in
Frankfort KY. She also contributes to the homeless
on a regular basis.
