• In our teen movie we have used revolver distribution company as they are a well
known award winning distribution company, they are also responsible for another
British teen film ‘anuvahood’ which was successful.
• Revolver are a independent company which means they are a fairly small company
which was perfect as our film didn’t involve any big actors which meant the cost
were low and we could have our full influence on the film.
• Also the fact that they are a small British company known for producing other
British teen films meant that they were perfecting for distributing our teen film
because of their reputation.
• Also due to their other films success any film they distribute will get a lot of
attention.
• Because revolver is an independent company it means our film would not have a
huge premier with press, this meant that our film was distributed using more
online methods which meant they could be viewed more quickly and was
accessible

3. For our production we chose creative media, a small independent production company
from London, our production would be the type of company that would produce
British teen films like ‘anuvahood', 'kidulthood’ and ‘attack the block’ .
We chose this company because our film is a British teen film and we felt that creative
media would be perfect for distributing our film.
The problems with using a independent production company is that there is a low
budget which mean we didn't’t have access to high quality and expensive technologies
in order to make our film better.
It also means our post production technology e.g. CGI could not be used.
Furthermore no big stars were used in our film as we could not afford to have them to
feature in our film

4. Positives from using independent production
and companies
Although we used a independent production and distribution company there were
many positives
One of the positive from using creative media as our production meant that the
director Hamit sourball had full control over the film and could have his own artistic
influence on the film. Also it helped boost his reputation as a director as the film was a
big success.
Furthermore the film had a lot of crew that weren't too experienced in making films
which mean they got a new experience and made the film seem more like a project
Also the crew for ‘the trip’ was small which meant not a lot of money was spent so any
loss wasn’t a big one.

5. Positives from using a independent distribution
company
One of the positives from using a independent distribution
meant that the directors inherited fan could see a movie which is
fully under his influence.
Also our film would have been distributed online and in cinemas
which meant people could instantly view it online. The timing of
our film release was also relaxed which meant we could
complete our film with everything done properly.
Moreover our film was cheap to distribute as most if it was done
online.
