National Safe Boating Week is being observed through May 22nd to promote safe boating practices. The National Weather Service is partnering with the National Safe Boating Council to send messages about wearing life jackets and safe navigation during the week. Each day will feature a public service announcement about a different boating safety topic that can be heard on NOAA Weather Radio or downloaded as an audio or video file.

The National Weather Service has partnered with the National Safe Boating Council, a NOAA
Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador(TM) to help promote safe boating practices. During Safe Boating
Week, NWS will send a Public Information Statement and broadcast public service announcements
on NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards.
Check out NWS staff, TV meteorologists and many others wearing their life jackets to work to
emphasis how important it is to wear your life jacket when you're on the water. Click the day/date
