About half of Pakistani population is of women. They perform
economic activities by raising and teaching their children,
cooking, washing laundry and maintaining the house throughout
the month. Economists must not forget about saving behavior of
women. Their productive services must be counted in gross
domestic product (GDP) for our sustainable development.
Household women must be duly rewarded by the state and
government. A commission on economic empowerment of
women must be formed without any delay. Hopefully Pakistani
women will endeavor for securing their economic rights.
