4. Permanent Residency
in New Zealand
In order to become a permanent resident, the
foreigner must obtain a residency visa.
A permanent residency visa can be obtained by
those who have lived in New Zealand for at least
two years.
The residency visa will provide a permanent
residence permit, which will allow the person to
stay here on an indefinite basis.

5. Permanent residency will also be provided for the applicant's partner
and children with an age below 24 years old.

6. Obtain a Holiday
Work Visa
This visa can be
used only for stays
in New Zealand of
a limited period of
time and it is
addressed solely
to persons with an
age of 18 to 30
years old.
The applicants can
stay here for a
period of 12 to 23
months. It must be
noted that for UK,
the law does not
specify a quota on
the issuance of
this visa.

7. British Permanent Residents
The Holiday Work
Visa can also be
requested by
persons who have
obtained their
permanent
residency in the
UK.
British permanent
residents can work
in New Zealand for
a period of 12
months and can
study here for 6
months under this
visa.

8. Partnership visas can be obtained by UK citizens who have their partner living
in New Zealand, regardless if they are married, in a civil union or in a de facto
relationship.

9. Age Requirements for
Partnership Visa
Persons who apply for this visa
must have an age of at least 18
years old when the application is
made.
The consent of a legal guardian
or parent is necessary if the
person has an age of minimum
16 years old.

10. Persons applying for a Partnership Visa should know
that they need to provide evidence on their relationship
status, as required by the New Zealand law.
