4. Permanent Residency
in New Zealand
In order to become a permanent resident, the

two years.
The residency visa will provide a permanent
residence permit, which will allow the person to
stay here on an indefinite basis.
5. Permanent residency will also be provided for the applicant's partner
and children with an age below 24 years old.

months and can
study here for 6
months under this
visa.

in New Zealand, regardless if they are married, in a civil union or in a de facto
relationship.

Partnership Visa
Persons who apply for this visa
must have an age of at least 18
years old when the application is
made.
The consent of a legal guardian
or parent is necessary if the
person has an age of minimum
16 years old.
10. Persons applying for a Partnership Visa should know
that they need to provide evidence on their relationship
status, as required by the New Zealand law.
