Leyla Acaroglu is a designer and consultant who encourages examining the full life cycles of products and materials to understand their environmental impacts. She founded Eco Innovators design studio in Australia, which creates award-winning sustainable designs and educational projects and workshops. Their goal is to build science-based sustainability practices by revealing environmental truths obscured by assumptions. An upcoming event organized by TED Talks Malaysia on August 1st will feature Dr. Leyla Acaroglu speaking on sustainability topics.

phone to bookshelves made from
construction scrap wood to
workshops that help rebuild and
repurpose broken everyday items,
the goal is building savvy, science-
based sustainability practices.
