Reddit by far has been one of the most friendly places on the internet where cannabis users
(https://cannabis.net/blog/technology/how-reddit-became-the-most-marijuanafriendly-social-media-platform-on-the-
internet) can share their thoughts, concerns, highdeas and more. As a writer, I spend a whole lot of time on the platform
scouring for new and exciting news or inspiration for articles. It’s a great platform where you can discover a wide web of
cannabis-related content.
In one of my searches I came across a thread “Stoner Engineers” that only has about 300,000 subscribers – which is a
damn shame in my opinion. This is probably one of the best threads on stoner ingenuity I have seen in quite some time
and therefore I have decided to shed some light on the thread to help introduce more stoners to the wonders that is
“stoner engineering”.
The Top Stoner Engineering of All Time Revealed: The Blunt Passer!
Let’s say that you’re at your house and have a couple of stoner buddies watching a movie, or “the game” or whatever
excuse you come up with to invite people to smoke. As you spark up the joint or blunt, you take your two tokes and
pass it on to the next participant – who then repeats this action. Eventually, the blunt travels all the way to the end of

the coach and suddenly there’s a problem – in order to send the joint or blunt back to the beginning, the person at the
end of the couch would have to stand up – walk several hundred inches in order to hand it back.
Obviously, this is a problem. Fortunately, Stoner Engineers have worked on the solution with a Pressurized Tubing
System that allows you to pass a joint quickly and effortlessly by simply placing the joint in a cylinder and pressing a
button. Pure unadulterated genius!

Have you ever had a coin in your pocket and thought, “Man, this would make an amazing pipe?” No? Me either! But
fortunately, Redditor Andyfrol decided to take up the challenge and literally craft a pipe out of a coin. His thread claims
“It’s like an apple pipe, but you just need more steps and tools”. Of course, that means a furnace, 3D printer, and a slew
of other things that most people simply won’t have laying around. He did make a great step by step video guide for
anyone who potentially does have access to those tools and the end result is simply mesmerizing.
He even created a custom box for the pipe to sit in and the piece would be the prized pipe of any stoner’s collection.

The Pasta Filter
Sure, the previous items might have been difficult for the average stoner to craft – but the next one is something that
anyone can do. The Pasta Filter is exactly what you think it is – a piece of Fusilli and use it as a filter! The spiral shape of
the fusilli makes a great filter and as some of the stoner engineers suggested – you can save all your filters and make a
“resin pasta” at some point. “It may taste like ass, but it might get the job done”. Another responded, “Desperate times
call for desperate actions!”
While I may not partake in the Pot Pasta Dish – the Fusilli filter is definitely a stoner hack anyone can try!

Next Level Gravity Bong
A Gravity Bong by itself is a stoner marvel (https://cannabis.net/blog/how-to/what-is-a-gravity-bong-and-how-do-you-
make-one), but these stonengineers took their design to the next level. According to the person posting – it took them
four years to create it and it’s definitely something I’d like to see more of. A sliding chamber on the top of the bong fills
up with smoke as you begin lifting it. The water takes the hit, fills the chamber and by removing a little pipe on the top,
you simply have to push it down and take the shotty!
It truly is a beauty to see in action and will probably be on your stoner Kushmas list next year!

Another genius invention by a mighty stoner engineer is the Corona Joint. Let’s say you’re going to have a party but want
to ensure that everybody gets enough weed and won’t have to share. Well – The Corona Joint is your solution.
Roll a joint with filters on both ends and then simply cut it in half. That way everyone has access to a small personal joint
and won’t need to share. It’s a simple solution, but often times the best solutions are the simplest. Also, if you want to
stretch your stash or limit your consumption – this is probably a good tactic to implore.

Have you ever been in an intense online gaming experience, incapable of letting go of the controller but also really
wanted a hit of weed? Sure, you could quickly try to take a hit when “nothing is happening” in the game like some sort of
cave person. Fortunately, there’s a much simpler solution – simply use a rotating fan, put it on rotate, and add a stick
holding the joint. Position yourself so that the joint reaches your mouth on every fan cycle – PURE GENIUS!
