2. Once upon a time a very pretty
rabbit lived in a forest. He was so
cute that he had a lot of friends.
He got along with the other
animals in forest. So he wasn’t
afraid of the unfriendly animals.
He thought whenever he was in
trouble, his friends would help him.
Bir zamanlar ormanın birinde
sevimli mi sevimli bir Tavşan
yaşarmış. Tavşan o kadar
sevimliymiş ki birçok arkadaşı
varmış. Ormandaki hemen herkesle
iyi geçinirmiş. Bu yüzden arkadaş
olmadığı hayvanlardan hiç
korkmuyor, başına bir şey gelirse,
dostlarının kendisine yardım
edeceğini düşünüyordu.
3. One day while he was walking around in
the forest happily,he heard barking
dogs came closer to the forest. He was
just about to run away that, he
approached to Horse whom he was sure
to be loved by. Bir gün ormanda mutlu
bir şekilde dolaşırken ,ormana gittikçe
yaklaşan köpeklerin sesleri duyar. Tam
kaçmaya başlayacaktı ki, kendisini çok
sevdiğini çok sevdiğinden emin olduğu
At’a yaklaştı:
4. “Horse brother,I know how much
you love me. I hear dogs barking far
away. Can you save me?” “Rabbit
brother, be sure that I love you so
much but I have too much work. It’s
impossible for me to help you. If
you wish ,go to Bull who seems like
he has no work .
“At kardeş, beni ne kadar sevdiğini
biliyorum. Uzaktan köpek sesleri
duyuyorum. Beni korur musun? ” “
Tavşan kardeş, seni çok sevdiğimden
emin ol ama şu anda o kadar çok işim
var ki… Sana yardımcı olmam
imkansız. İstersen Boğa’ya git onun
işi yokmuş gibi görünüyor. ”
5. Rabbit was angry with Horse’s
answer. He walked to Bull. Bull had
so much work that without
listening to him carefully he said:“
Rabbit Brother,please forgive me.
I’ll help you another time. ”Tavşan
At’ın cevabına çok kızmıştı. Boğa’ya
doğru gitti. Boğa’nın o kadar işi
vardı ki onu tam olarak
dinlemeden “Tavşan Kardeş, lütfen
beni bağışla. Başka zaman sana
mutlaka yardım ederim. ”dedi.
6. Rabbit was so angry again. So both Horse and
Bull weren’t his real friends. With these
thoughts he came across with Sheep. “Dear
Sheep, now I’m in trouble …Dogs come closer
to the forest but somehow nearly none of my
friends wants to help me. ”said. Sheep “ I’m
sure they were willing to help you as much as
me. But I am busy too, I’ll help you as soon as
my work finishes. ” Tavşan yine çok kızgındı.
Demek ki At da Boğa da onun gerçek dostları
değilmiş. Bu düşünceler arasında Koyun ’a
rastlar. “Sevgili koyun, şu anda o kadar zor
durumdayım ki…Köpekler ormana yaklaşıyor
ve nedense hiçbir dostum bana yardım
etmiyor. ”dedi.
Koyun ise “Eminim onlar da en az benim gibi
sana yardımcı olmak istemişlerdir. Ama ben

he put the same excuse forward.
Tavşan iyice sinirlenmişti artık. Bir
ağacın altında oturan Aslan’a yaklaştı.
Aslan işi yokmuş gibi görünüyordu
ama oda işi olduğu bahanesini öne
sürdü.
8. When Rabbit lost his hope, he saw
the Eagle flying in the air coming
towards him. He thought he would
help him. Eagle said that he was in a
hurry and couldn’t help him.
Tavşan iyice umudunu kesmişti ki,
havada uçan Kartal’ın kendisine doğru
geldiğini gördü. Onun kendisine
yardım edeceğini sandı. Kartal acelesi
olduğunu, kendisine yardım
edemeyeceğini söyledi.
9. Rabbit started to cry with the thoughts
of no friends could help him and he was
alone . At that moment his friends came
out of the bush who didn’t help
him.Horse , approached Rabbit : "We
love you. But you are so lazy that you
want us to solve your problems all the
time . We left you alone in order to make
you understand your mistake " he said.
Tavşan artık arkadaşlarının yardım
etmeyeceğini ve yalnız başına kaldığını
düşünüp ağlamaya başladı. Tam o anda
çalıların arasından az önce kendisine
yardım etmeyen arkadaşları çıktı. At,
Tavşana yaklaşarak: “Biz seni seviyoruz.
Fakat bizlere güvenip tembellik
ediyorsun. Bu hatanı anlaman için seni
yalnız bıraktık ”dedi.
10. Rabbit came to his senses. He
stopped being lazy and said ; yes I
should ask favour from my friends
after I try my best .
Tavşan hatasını anlayarak; evet
ben elimden geleni yaptıktan sonra
dostlarımdan yardım
istenmemeliyim diyerek tembelliği
bırakmış.
