I am a southern girl raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I like to spend my "free time" - what is that- with family, friends, and dogs. I am currently working on a Masters in Library and Information Science in Archives and Special Collection at USM, and applying to other colleges for. Doctorate in English with an emphasis in African American literature, Southern literature, and Women's Studies. I love the idea of traveling and plan on doing so. I recently lost my mother to lung cancer on May 21, 2009. She was my rock and the shoulder I could lean on. I miss her so much, but I know she is my Angel and protecting me still.
