Samsung outs Wi-fi packing ST1000 compact, confirms dual-LCD cams
Samsung ST1000 – fully-connected compact snapper
Samsung has just confirmed the dual-LCD ST500 and ST550 cameras leaked earlier
today, and also unveiled the Wi-Fi packing ST1000 as well.
Alongside the wireless connectivity that allows you to email and post photos and
videos to social networking sites without the need of a PC, the fully-connected
ST1000 also boasts Bluetooth and is DLNA compliant as well.
This means you'll also be able to fling your images to mobile phones and any DLNA
compliant devices, such as HDTVs, digital picture frames and media servers.
Adding to all this connectivity is the ST1000's built-in GPS that provides a real-time
display of your location and allows for auto-geotagging of your snaps.
As for the core specs, you can expect a 12.2 megapixel snapper with a 5x optical
zoom lens, 720p HD video recording and the world's highest res 3.5-inch LCD
touchscreen at 1152k pixels (also found on the ST550).
There's also a Smart Gesture User Interface complete with built-in orientation
sensor, which will allow you to tap the screen or make a simple hand gesture to
access key features.
The ST500, ST550 and ST1000 will all be available in a range of colours from late
August, but prices are to be confirmed.
