5. ETNA
On the first day we went to Mount Etna.
Mount Etna is an active stratovolcano on the
east coast of Sicily.
It lies above the convergent plate margin between
the African Plate and the Eurasian Plate.
Mount Etna is one of the most active volcanoes in
the world and is in an almost constant state of
activity.
We did small coasting sled, we spent an amazing
day on Mount Etna.

7. AGRIGENTO
One of Sicily's most famous historical attractions
is without a doubt the Valley of the Temples, just
outside Agrigento.This splendid archaeological
park consists of eight temples (and various other
remains) built between about 510 BC and 430
BC: for example we saw the Temple of Hera.
Agrigento is a city on the southern coast of Sicily
that is renowned as the ancient Greek city of
Akragas.
When we visited this place, we learned many
things about Greek history and mythology.
8. PIZZERIA
● At night we went to a
pizzeria and we ate
this traditionnal food :
pizza. Each pupil ate
a different pizza and
we enjoyed different
tastes. We couldn't
leave Sicily without
eating pizza !!
11. PALERMO
Then we went to visit Palermo, it's a city in Sicily
and it's noted for its history, culture, architecture
and gastronomy.
We visited the churches of Palermo which are
very beautiful and after we went to eat near the
beautiful beaches of Palermo.
In the afternoon, we went to the “Teatro Massimo
Vittorio Emanuele” the famous opera house in
Palermo. It is the biggest in Italy and one of the
largest in Europe.

13. TAORMINA
Taormina is a common and a small town in Sicily.
It's a very popular destination for tourists because
it has beautiful beaches and we enjoyed them
because on these beaches the water is
remarkably warm and it has a high salt content.
16. SYRACUSE
On the third day, in the morning, we had a walk in
the city of Syracuse. Syracuse is a historic city in
Sicily, the capital of the province of Syracuse. The
city is notable for its rich Greek hstory, culture,
amphitheatres, architecture, and as the birth place
of the preeminent mathematician and engineer
Archimedes. We walked by the sea and took
advantage of the beautiful view.

18. NOTO
In the afternoon, we went to the city of Noto. Noto
is a city and comune in the Province of Syracuse
in Sicily. It's located 32km southwest of the city of
Syracuse at the foot of the Iblean Mountains and
gives its name to surrounding area Val di Noto.
This city is very impressive and we even
nicknamed it “the geometrical city”.
21. CATANIA
We spent our fourth day in the city of Catania. In
the morning we visited the baroque churches of
Catania, in particular the Church San Benedetto.
After having a Sicilian speciality snack, we treated
ourselves to an afternoon of shopping, there were
so many things to buy!
And in the evening we went out to a bar in
Catania to taste the Sicilian night atmosphere!
