To Graduate Admissions Committee,
I would like to recommend Celiannie M Rivera for graduate school at the University of
Idaho pursuing Masters degree in Political Sciences. I have known and worked with her
since January 2015 when she came to the UI from her university in Puerto Rico with
National Student Exchange.
I have had a chance to work and supervise Celiannie during two Central American Youth
Ambassador (CAYA) training programs (in 2015-16) for high school students from
Central America and one Fulbright Gateway Orientation in August 2015 for Fulbright
scholars from different continents pursuing graduate degrees in the US. Both programs
are in collaboration with the US Department of State in Washington DC and between the
College of Business and Economics and the College of Letters, Arts and Social
Sciences at UI. I have been the program coordinator at the UI for these initiatives and I
have been pleased with Celianie’s performance. She was very important for successful
deliver of these programs, as she is hard working, well organized, communicative,
adaptable, and supportive to needs of programs’ participators. Celianie is able to work
both independently with minimal supervision and in a team. She has extensive
experience in working with diverse students and people from different cultures. She is
not afraid to ask for help or additional information and she is responsive to feedback.
Celiannie is energetic, enthusiastic and able to handle complex tasks and collaborations.
I am confident that she will be a great asset to the UI graduate program and her
knowledge, skills and international experience will make her an exceptional graduate
student. Thank you for granting me the opportunity to recommend Celianie M Rivera for
the UI Master’s Program in Political Science and please do not hesitate to contact me in
case of any questions.
With best regards,
Lubia Cajas de Gliniewicz
