feminine magazine.

her reading.
She places the magazine on the bench,
as she begins to speak on her mobile.

A muffled conversation between the
woman and her caller.
“Hi, Yes I can make it, what time
should I meet you?”

The woman stands up and begins to
walk away from the bench, still
conversing on her mobile phone. She
forgets to take her magazine with her.

“Yes, I can make that, if I leave now.
Do you know the time for the last
train home?”

2. Mark walks towards the bench,
noticing the magazine.

before lifting up the magazine. He then
opens it up and begins to flick through
the pages.

Dylan (25) dressed casually, is in the
background, walking towards Mark.

Dylan is now at the bench
Dylan interrupts Mark reading the
magazine.
Mark acting surprised, but
embarrassed, quickly rolls up the
magazine and hides it behind his back.
Dylan, has not noticed the genre of the
magazine and continues to embark on
with the conversation
Mark responses nervously
Dylan, casually responds
Mark hastily replies, shakes Dylan’s
hand and starts to walk away in the
opposite direction, still trying to
conceal the magazine.
Music fades and diegetic background
sounds are introduced.
“Hi Mark, how’s it going mate?
“Oh ...hi Dylan, Ok thanks and you?”
“Looking forward to tomorrow,
when we take on those Banstead
lot? Should be a good game.”
“Yeah, but I don’t mind being the
sub!”
“You’re always the sub mate; you
should let someone else take the
bench. Do you fancy a pint?”
“Sorry mate, another time. See you
tomorrow.”
