This is the presentation of Brad Jermeland about the NFL journey of Mark Sanchez. Sanchez had a rough ending with the Jets, but when the Eagles picked him up as a back up QB, he rose to the occasion and has been doing amazing things for Philadelphia. Brad Jermeland is a long time Philadelphia Eagles fan and is happy to see Sanchez back in the spotlight and bringing them to new levels.

and the Jets
✤ In 2009 with the fifth pick of the first
round of the NFL draft, the New York
Jets selected Mark Sanchez, quarterback
from USC. !
✤ Through the first two years, Sanchez led
the Jets to the AFC Championship game
both years.!
✤ Just one win away from the Super Bowl,
twice, it looked like the Jets had their
quarterback.!
✤ Following those two seasons, key
offensive acquisitions that helped
Sanchez were cut, released, or traded.

4. The Replacements
✤ Some of these players included Pro Bowl guard Alan Faneca, guard
Brandon Moore, tackle Damien Woody, wide receivers Braylon
Edwards, Santonio Holmes, and Plaxico Burress, running backs
Thomas Jones, LaDanian Tomlinson and Shonn Greene and tight end
Dustin Keller. !
✤ The replacements were no where near the caliber of the players the
Jets once had on offense. !
✤ A young quarterback on the rise struggled. With his confidence shot,
Sanchez’s numbers went backwards, as did the Jets win totals. !
✤ Sanchez was cut following the 2013 season in which he spent the
entire season on IR.

The Eagles
✤ During the offseason, Sanchez signed
with the Philadelphia Eagles to be Nick
Foles backup at quarterback. !
✤ Foles came off a season in which he
threw 29 touchdowns and just 2
interceptions. !
✤ It looked as though Sanchez would be
riding the bench for some time. !
✤ That is until Foles was injured during a
game on 11/2 against the Houston
Texans. Sanchez relieved Foles and
threw for 202 yards 2 touchdowns and 2
interceptions, leading the Eagles to a
31-21 win.

✤ Since Sanchez has relieved Foles, he
has the Eagles 4-2 and looking at the
playoffs. !
✤ He has thrown for 1,500 yards 10
touchdowns and 7 interceptions, which
is good for a quarterback rating of 88.0. !
✤ Following the Texans game, Sanchez
eclipsed 300 passing yards in each of
his first three starts. !
✤ Something Sanchez has struggled with
in the past is completion percentage
however he is completing a career best
62% of his passes this season.

✤ It looks as though Mark
Sanchez has proven to NFL
franchises that he can play in
the is league after all. !
✤ This is great news for Sanchez
as he signed just a one year
deal with the Eagles and will
certainly be looking to cash in
when he becomes a free agent
this off season.
