Depending on the area of the country, LMT's can make quite a bit of money, or, it can be like this
particular area where you have 8-10 LMT's for every job opening.
Most LMT's I know work out of offices/clinics where
massage is a good fit for an overall program such as
Sports Medicine, Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, etc.
Do the research for your area. See how many LMT's are there, talk with them, then you can make a
more informed decision about your life.
