Required Summer Reading and Work
                              AP Chemistry
                              Summer 2010


Advanced Placement Chemistry summer work requires the use of the course textbook. Our
bookstore will go “live” on July 1. Please purchase the textbook by July 15th to allow ample
time to complete the assignment. (See “Textbook Information” for information about ordering
your textbooks.)

Textbook: Chemistry, The Central Science, 11th ed., by Brown, LeMay, Bursten, and Murphy

Reading for the summer: preface and chapters 1 & 2.

Be prepared to discuss the material in both chapters on the first day of class.

Problems:       1.25, 1.27, 1.33, 1.35, 1.43, 1.44, 1.57 in chapter 1
               2.17, 2.26, 2.31, 2.32, 2.57 in chapter 2

The problems are due on Wednesday, August 25.
