BIT Reiseliv (Tourism oriented IT-program) is a national program managed by the Norwegian Hospitality Association (NHO Reiseliv) and the Federation of Norwegian Commercial and Service Enterprises (HSH). The program is governed by Innovation Norway. Its purpose is to develop more efficient business processes within the tourism industry by developing information technology solutions and increasing the level of professionalism within individual tourism enterprises.
The program is currently in its second phase (2007-2010), and the program will be completed with the developement and launch of a national booking switch on www.visitnorway.com within Q1 2011.
