Brazilian Coffee!
Brazil is a coffee giant producing over 40 percent of the world's
coffee! It is by far the world's largest producer of coffee. Most of
this is lower grade Arabica and even lower grade robusta, but
there are some special Brazilian coffees out there, and if you
ever have had an espresso or cappuccino, there is a great
chance you have had a Brazilian coffee before.

According to the U.S. National Coffee Association, Brazil can
produce up to 22 MILLION bags of coffee in a year! That's a lot
of coffee!

The Amazon rainforest is the largest tropical rainforest in
the world, covering over 1.4 billion acres!
Over half of the
Amazon rainforest is
located in Brazil.
There are over 40,000 different plant species and about
2.5 million insect species in the Amazon rainforest.

The Amazon rainforest is also called the ‘Lungs of the
Planet' because it produces more than 20% of the
world's oxygen.
For centuries, people native to the Amazon have been
using the plants there as medicines. More recently,
scientists have discovered that rainforest plants are
sources for medicines to treat diseases like cancer,
diabetes, arthritis, AIDS, and Alzheimer’s. In general, one
in four of our medicines contains ingredients that come
from a plant.
